Epic Orientation Week (EOW) was a major milestone in the Epic implementation project, as it marked the first time everyone on the Epic project team, hospital leadership, operational subject matter experts and staff from Epic all gathered in person to have in-depth discussions to determine how Woman’s Epic system will be built.
EOW featured an integrated session to review project principles and methodology, introduce core project tools, and share a high-level demonstration of key Epic workflows. The rest of the week included specialized breakout sessions for various operational areas. More than 250 participants attended 30 sessions over the course of three days, providing great engagement as we head into the first wave of our system build.
