We are now officially less than one year from our Feb.1, 2024, Epic Go-Live date, and some of the pre-work within our various operational workgroups has already begun!
What is an operational workgroup?
Operational workgroups are made up of individuals in various roles and from various departments across the organization who are selected to help guide decisions that impact their areas. These groups will meet regularly throughout the implementation to not only make decisions and sign off on workflows, but also to plan for changes that will come at go-live. Workgroups can be clinical, revenue cycle/patient access-focused or cross-functional for those with a wider range of impact.
Additionally, hospital leadership, Epic project team members and those involved in operational workgroups will participate in Epic Orientation Week (EOW) sessions from Feb. 27-March 1.
